that has helped, thanks alot. I think i was reading two guides at same time(one told me to do the -no torch thing) but that forced it on CPU so that gave very slow renders. Then I saw another AMD guide that said to do lowvram which was faster, as on GPU but still slow renders. and now with your medvram its alot faster. Not ideal but far improved. Though I can feel my GPU nearly melting, its showing its age with the VRAM I think
Someone who knows more will have better input, but yes far as Im aware the docker is just an extra step if you want to do it that way, having it all run in its own self contained sort of virtual install. You can just run it normally on your PC, with just installing git, phyton and downloading the webui folder thing and running it from there. Im not really sure why the docker guide is needed.
Yes an 8GB Nvidia card is fine for inpainting, and creating images. You might have issues with training loras or models and that sort of stuff, but you can use google collab for that when needed.
