Question Instagram profile without phone number

I have been trying to create an Alt account on account with a VPN and a new email, I can signup without any problems but, after a while I get asked to provide a phone number to verify the account. Is there any way to create an Instagram account without a phone number?

when u use the email it sometimes doesnt even let you in. on me (via VPN) they want a phone number every time :/
