Discussion How NOT to get scammed by a Pornstar/Model

not necessarily true. I have one model in particular I am a VIP member of and it has been worth it a lone in being able to message for free. Otherwise to message it costs 5 dollars a message for non VIP's. In the matter of a day or two we've sent enough messages back and forth to eachother (more than 20 so there is 100 bucks worth right there). Not to mention she does send out exclusive pics/vids to VIPs or offers things at a reduced rate. Not every girl will be like that, but to dismiss VIP as 100% scam is false. It all depends on what you are looking for and what the girl offers. Lets also not forget that just because that same money can get a "smaller creator" to do just about whatever you want, doesn't mean I'm interested in getting a smaller creator to do whatever I want. I sub to some of these girls because I'm a big fan of theirs. I don't see the appeal of getting some completely unknown person to do stuff for me just because I know she'll do it for cheap. Might as well just look at free porn if thats all you are after.
Here is my question to you, how much experience do you have with girls that offer VIP and you pay the price for that service? Is it only the one girl you referenced or are there others? Me personally I would not do VIP's for one of the reasons jekelboy described, you have 0 guarantee that you would communicate with the girl after paying that price. It's a coin toss. On a side note and this is for me personally you dont have to agree or whatever but I would never and I mean NEVER support a girl or anyone else where I am getting charged any amount to send basically a text message. I get that time is money and they may have a ton a fans and they cant message them all and they think they can reduce the number of messages they receive by charging for them is the way to go but yeah no lol

There are some good ones who have good reasons for it, i.e. to reduce spam but without paying a manager to do their chatting. But those good ones will usually find a way to give you a free way to communicate if you're a supporter (i.e. a tipper). And I don't even mean dumping big simp bucks.

Examples would be providing you with a private platform (Whatsapp or a private Instagram) or there's also features on some sites where it's free to message if they follow you back. So there's options out there for the genuinely decent models to provide you with a way to talk.

Otherwise don't bother paying for that shit, go talk to somebody else instead of paying for it lol. If you're buying things and/or tipping they should be decent enough to message you back. And if it's a big page, don't even bother at all, you're probably talking to some guy. Or you'll be expected to pay genuine prostitution rates just to message the real model. Don't stoop to that.

The only "VIP" thing I've ever paid for is Snapchat, and that's because generally you're also getting content there, not just chatting. Even then, don't get hosed on the price.

tldr: if you're a tipper and the model isn't even decent enough to interact with you, she ain't worth it. Don't pay to chat.

How much do u guys spend on content in total ? I feel like I spent too much in the past three years ($750)
Thats not too bad my friend especially over three years. For me whenever it comes to purchasing any kind of content whether its OF, Fansly or ManyVids I dont spend no more than $10 for a pic $20 per minute for a video. I do this because it keeps me in check financially. I see content from girls asking $200 for a 1 minute clip I immediately scroll right past them. They are insane asking for that price.

Is that just content? or does that also include subscription fees? Cause if its both 750 is not bad at all. I probably can spend that in a year. It all depends on who I am following and what they are selling. But like the others have said, i try to limit how much i'd spend per pic or cost of a video per minute. Again, rules can change on that if its someone i really dig and its not something they normally do. If you can afford it, then it shouldnt matter how you choose to spend your money, as long as you don't feel like you were cheated or overpayed for something you thought was going to be better than what it is.

Through my experience with customs I think smaller creators, eastern european and russian girls are definitely the way to go. I have done the vast majority of my customs through ManyVids. I would not do it through OnlyFans because their tip limit is $200 and what if the custom is like $1k. You'd have to do 5 $200 transactions and that will flag the fraud team of your credit card company everytime

Edit: By the way what a great idea for a thread. Kudos to whoever thought of it
That would be me. Yo welcome

I think it is a person by person thing. Can you afford it and does it not affect your life negatively? If so then you are spending fine. You are basically spending for entertainment just like people who go to the movies or buy books or collectibles or whatever.

It's always a good idea to give yourself a monthly $ limit - with rollover. So if there's ever anything you ever want, you can get it, but it can help with self-control.

+ This forum's great bc if it's a popular creator, I don't have to waste money; I can just consult if they're here first. Also, wait a day before you subscribe to anyone new-- just add them to your 'list' on OF.

If you've forgotten who they are/why you were interested a day later, you can just drop em. It can help you prevent spontaneous habitual subscribes.

I personally think that would be incredibly unwise to post custom vids/pictures because if the creator locates their content on a forum or whatever they can easily track who leaked it
in theory yes.... but i can recall dozens of times talking with creators about buying a video from them, and having them tell me customs they have made for other guys before and saying they would sell me one of those if i was interested. I've also seen a girl I bought a custom from on one site, turning around and selling it on another site for anyone to buy.

makes sense. You took the time to make the video so might as well get the most money out of it plus unless it is something super specific then there will probably be other demand for it even from people who wouldnt have thought of that request in the first place.

Biggest warning flags

1) They (often repeatedly) announce that they are clearing out their messages/videos/ppv's.
They have absolutely zero reasons to do this for ANY reason besides to create an artificial pressure on buyers to purchase content that nobody considered worthy of purchase in the past. They know their content sucks, so they've decided to make it a 'limited time collectable' to inflate the value of their trash hoping your fomo & horniness get you to make a bad decision. The truth is that if the content WERE of value, they'd want to not only keep selling it but advertising it since they would expect it to sell.

2) They constantly send out PPV's and they never have a preview thumbnail.
Major red flag, this tells you they KNOW their content is shit and that if you so much as had a single screenshot to base your purchasing decision on, you'd realize that it's shit/low res/bad lighting/low effort/not your thing/doesn't match the description. This is very deliberate obfuscation so that you make a bad buy.

3) They ask for tips before they've even provided any content , or otherwise tell you that you have to pay a tip before they show you the content you want to purchase. This should be obvious, they know that there are no refunds on tips and they can block you if you say anything to them about it and there is nothing that support will do for you. Even more so, if they are requesting tips and not even stating the amount, so they can rationalize asking for more, more, more.

In my experience, the more they send out private messages telling to buy them because they are incredible (!!!), the more the content is useless: you risk to pay 20 or more bucks to not even see a nipple...

These are very good tips and if you don’t mind I’m going to add a 4th. If the creator you are following is posting ads for other girls more than they post actual content from themselves is a red flag for me

I've instituted a personal rule for myself to never buy anything without a preview again. I've had a much better OnlyFans experience since I started doing this.

Still not perfect--but better.
That’s a good call my friend. I do that myself. If they can’t bother to put a preview up then I can’t be bothered to buy it

Great tips. Adding a 5th-- If the creator has stuff like "sorry I've been absent recently!", "I'll be back posting regularly now!", or has long gaps between posts, 100% she is going to go ghost on you into the future also. No exception.
