That new gen they debuted recently made it clear they're trying to get the, as 4chan calls it, the Nijisanji crowd. Like one of their talents is a Niji simp and another is literally chocolate chip cookie dokibird (who is kinda hot ngl).

I don't know what is it with small corpos pandering to the GFE crowd once and then instantly abandoning them once they become big enough. It didn't work with Production Kawaii and I don't think it will work now.

GFE stuff is a really good way to start out because you can build a small, passionate fan base pretty quickly, and actually make a decent chunk of change from it too. There a couple of issues with it though which I imagine is the reason people/companies try and get out of it when they can;

1. As much as I love GFE stuff, the fan base is fucking insane, and can be really hard to deal with.
2. The fanbase also demands constant escalation into lewder and lewder content, and some people aren't comfortable with that
3. It limits the opportunities you have access to, like collabs and events that include men
4. Non-GFE Vtubing has a way higher ceiling for success (this mostly applying to western Vtubing)

They realized that a good portion of people who are into that have more money than brains. Even if they abandon them, plenty of simps will stick around and be eager little piggy banks.
