I had been using the VideoEditor & Maker VideoShow app but $25 a month is too expensive and the free trial only lasts 3 days.

Is there another editor that let's you crop videos, clip videos together, cut clips, or upscale/downscale like this app but not twice the price of a streaming service? Without a watermark?

Thanks in advance.

Davinci resolve is supposed to be free to use. The only limitation to the free version is no full editor preview I think.

Try windows in-built video editor, there is no options for upsacle or down scale but all the other features are there that you asked.

Depends on what you wanna do with your videos. I'am using VirtualDub / 2, avidemux and ffmpeg tools. With those tools you can do basic stuff and more and they are free. Just try them and maybe any of them is something for you.

For what it sounds like you are wanting to do, I'd suggest

Free version lacks some features of the paid, but no watermarks and it works. Plus, the paid version is like ~$22 a year if you want those features but they aren't necessary..

shotcut is also a good option for normal usage since it's easy to use and pretty much idiot proof (if I can use it everyone can) unlike other editors,

What is the best free site or app to remove watermarks on mobile?

If you're on mac you can just download a cracked version of Final Cut, if you're on Windows Adobe Premiere Pro is the best choice. I use them both for video editing.

Here is a basic video editor portable version

you will need a torrent to program download the program or use seedr.cc

I use this program for basic stuff it is pretty good
For cutting or splitting videos Freemake is the best program it does not work with 1440p or 4k vidoes

I use LosslessCut whenever its sufficient, because it offers absolutely 100% original quality preserved and the most recent versions became really nice to use.

The already mentioned Shotcut for advanced stuff but I find it far from "idiot proof". Still, I can do the things I want.
