Guide Forum Post Downloader - Tampermonkey Script

preface: i dont if this has been asked or mentioned already but,

anyone else getting timed out from gofile.io AFTER using the post download from this script? it happened three times now for me, on different pages, different post, and days. i can access the site after 10 hrs or so, and ive never had this before from this script. but i have seen this happened on a site, ie usually a site false flagging you cus of some bot behavior.

tldr. anyone else getting locked out from gofile.io after using the script?
 
Redgif doesn't work in Firefox, all the file are blank, and I am not sure how to fix it, I'm on the latest tampermonkey

For that particular Gumiho post the ones that are failing the console is showing the following.

ah, so it is the vids that are failing. I know why, its a limitation of default tampermonkey but there is a solution.

Go into your tampermonkey settings
Change Config mode to Advanced
Scroll down to the Downloads beta section and you'll need to add m4v to the whitelisted file extensions. Here I've changed my third row to add m4v:
[/icode]/\.(avi|mkv|m4v|flv|divx|mpe?g|webm)$/[/icode]

I'll make the changes and let you know if I run into any more downloads that decide to break on me!
 
This feels like a dumb question but where do I "untick" the zip download option? I cannot find it. This is all options I'm seeing for each post.


I'm on Firefox with latest updates on browser, tapermonkey, and script.
 
Not really a dumb question cause I could never find it on Firefox either and just went back to Chrome based browsers.
 
Firefox doesnt have option to not zip, this was to fix some issue, I cant remember the details anymore.

In Chrome is available, but only on a per-post basis. I'd like to disable it for the whole page, but there's no option, as far as I can see
 
Dumb question but how do i save the script in tampermonkey so that it remains for future downloads ?
everythime i have to paste the script and go through the settings all over again.

only till the window it active if i close the browser and re launch it then i have to do it all over again. is it because i m using brave browser private window ?
 
I'm not sure how scripts work with private browsing. Guess we'll have to wait for someone who knows more.

Shouldn't the default be "unzipped" then? Right now, Firefox cannot download almost any video files because, as you described in previous posts, they are bigger than allowed storage for zipping. I just tried manually edit the script like J4d3dRush suggested. It worked but it downloads files with the same name scheme as zipped files ([name] [post #].zip). This isn't ideal...
