Question Downloading from Telegram?

I'm in a telegram group chat that doesn't allow you to download/save the photos and videos posted on it. Does anyone know of a method to work around this?

For some reason Xiaomi devices save every viewed video. Everything is saved in the temporary folder of the MiVideo app.

If you have an Android device, it's worth a try.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I do have telegram open in my browser but I haven't had any luck with the basic right-click and download or using the dev tools or any other chrome download ext tool.

And I don't have any Android devices lying around.

Looks like it wasn't meant to be ?

you need the k version of telegram web --> after the .org/ should be a k/ not a z/

that's a nice tip, I tested and it works fine with photos/round videos but not videos, I couldn't find a way 🤔

use nekogramx (modded telegram) instead. you can download pics and videos with it

I have Telegram on my phone. I plugged it into my PC and searched my android files for "Telegram" and eventually found the hidden image folder.

You can click on a photo in the channel, select the photos and save them to your phone.

You can put a telegramX program, this one as an addition to the telegram and you can download it there

I've been using this script/bot. Unfortunately you need to set some things manually (and get your personal session so that the bot can download the contents of private groups). It has some bugs, but if you understand programming it easily fixes it.

Using inspect on the browser doesn't pop up the page code? Most of pages that have saving blocked can't prevent you from opening the inspect function (Ctrl+Shift+i, no right click needed) or, maybe the media tab of the page info on firefox (Ctrl+i).

It is def not practical when you have to save a bunch of stuff, but if you are on tryhard mode, it should be enough

On the mobile Android device, everything is cached in /Telegram folder.

On PC you can use Unigram. You can find this on the Microsoft Store
When you log in with your account go to settings,Data and Storage and enable Automatic media download and set limit to 2GB

I've heard it iPhones can be limited for downloading files. I didn't know you could be restricted on a per group basis.

Just curious, what group are you in that doesn't let you?
