Tools Cyberdrop-DL: Mass Downloader for most forum sites and SimpCity threads

I think I installed Python properly and when I run the "Start Windows.bat" I get the following:

'pip' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

'cyberdrop-dl' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Any fixes?

are you starting your path with "pip etc etc etc?" you might need to begin with the python pathing, i.e. "py pip etc etc" or "python3 pip etc etc"

Can you specify individual folders for each post when scraping the simpcity threads? When people post galleries of jpg.church images in a post, the scraper shoots them into the loose files folder and its just a mess of sets.

Hey all, wonder if anyone can help or know.

I am currently looking for if there is a way or place in the tool that I can find the last post's URL of a thread that the tool scrape.

The reason I am asking is that I can do this manually by going to the thread and go to the last page and grab the URL of the last post, but this might takes some time to do if there are lot of threads to go through. Since the tool are scraping through the thread, i do feel like it would a wonderful feature to output the last post's URL somewhere.

I'm not sure if it still works, but you'd be adding the --separate-posts flag to the start command.

That would be a cool feature. Though failed downloads would probably become a nightmare, as you'd never go back over those links. If you request it on the github, I will add it though as a optional argument.

I'm having a heck of a time updating. I've done all the pip and pip3 install commands through cmd and power shell and they say requirements already satisfied, but when I run it says I'm still on 2.25.6

Edit: I've now updated python, pip, and re-downloaded the zip and now NOTHING works. lol.

Is this the problem?

Defaulting to user installation because normal site-packages is not writeable

Python3.10.7 didn't have an add to path option in the install...

Hey Jules/Smart People,
Was playing around with the app, trying to work out a way to better sort and organise the files if you put Multiple Links in.
My first thought (and only one, short of digging fully into the code) was to try something like this in the URLs file.

URLs.txt
-o Downloads/Test1 https://gofile.io/d/LINK1 https://gofile.io/d/LINK2 -o Downloads/Test2 https://gofile.io/d/LINK3

But that didn't work, and actually somehow managed to delete the existing Downloads folder, and break it so it wouldn't work again!!! (Redownloaded and I'm all good now).

Thoughts? Or would this count as an 'Enhancement' and not possible in the current version.

It's not entirely possible how you are doing it. What you'd want to do is change the "start windows.bat" file (assuming windows, change to whatever OS) to be something like the following:

The arguments like -o aren't read from the urls.txt file

Crap, yeah I have no idea how to do this on Mac OS X but it makes sense because it really seems like it installed correctly except for the path part. Hopefully someone can comment and help with this.

On Mac, you'll want to go to the python folder in your applications, run the install certificates.command file, then run the update shell profile.command file. See if that fixes it.

Do you have one for massive uploading as well?
I have a lot of material to share, but through the scripts on github, I still upload one piece of content at a time. (tested mostly towards gofile )
