Boils down to command prompt (cmd.exe) being shit. On windows 10 it'd probably be worth switching to Windows Terminal. It's the default in win 11.
Win 7, no other options, it's either live with the flicker or disable the new progress screen with hide_new_progress
For me, the flickering was fixed in 4.0.14 (Win 10).
jpg.church is working slowly now and I noticed an error. When the program restarts the download due to Timeout Error, it creates a new file and tries to download it instead of downloading the previous one already created.
I'll look at this tomorrow morning, for now I need to pass out

thank you for this tip, the new windows terminal is so snazzy.
for windows 10, microsoft seems to have removed the ability to set it as the default terminal application (easily, anyway). so I did some searching on the web and came across this tip to set it as default, and it works for me.
after installing windows terminal through the microsoft app store,
this makes double clicking the .bat open in a terminal window, and all flickering is gone.
Beeping is gone in version 4.0.15. It still flickers, but doesn't crash. But since it works and I'm not supposed to stare at it for extended periods of time this is a definite improvement.
Edit: I just ran it in Powershell, still flickers.
It would be pretty sweet if you could include the powershell equivalent PS1 file to the "start windows" bat.

Not currently possible with the tools being used.
The arguments have changed in the new release. --threads doesn't exist anymore, read the usage in your post or the wiki. It's essentially been replaced with --simultaneous-downloads-per-domain.
Manually, passwords aren't supported by cyberdrop-dl as of current.
Flickering will be a constant for you on Win7, on windows 10 or 11 you could use Windows Terminal and it'd work properly. If you really want to you can use --hide-new-progress by command line or hide-new_progress in the config to go back to a V3-esque output during downloads.
I haven't been able to replicate this with what I have on hand, can you shoot me your downloader.log file where this happens?
How to fix this: When I run the windows.bat I get this error: Fatal error in launcher: Unable to create process using '"c:\program files\python39\python.exe" "C:\Program Files\Python39\Scripts\pip.exe" install --upgrade cyberdrop-dl' The System couldnt find the file

For the uninitiated like me, how might I go about fixing this? I updated pip and also made sure to update cyberdrop-dl. I read the wiki and referenced my config file, but I don't seem to have some of the options or categories that is on the wiki. For example, I don't have any Categories or SubCategories for 'Ratelimiting', 'Sorting', etc.
Are these things I need to manually add into the file, or should the file somehow have been updated when I updated the program? Sorry for my ineptitude! Haha thanks!
You don't have those categories yet because Cyberdrop-DL for you hasn't run with the update. In your start file you have a --threads argument specified next to cyberdrop-dl. Just edit and remove it then try again
I'd tell you to just uninstall all python versions, then reinstall python probably, make sure to select add to path when you reinstall. Don't install through windows store.
Would it be possible to scrape a personal user profile for bookmarks so that we just add our own profiles bookmark page and whatever we add to it will just automatically get added to the scrape list? It would go down each page and scrape everything that you have bookmarked
Might also be able to do this for watched.
I just noticed that the url doesnt look unique but I am not sure if there is some kind of hidden metadata that could be used

Hi Jules, just updated after not using the program in a while. Everything scrapes fine but now the program is just sitting at "Finished Scrape" for 20 minutes and nothing's downloading. I haven't seen this behavior before. Any idea what's going on?
I haven't been able to download any videos off huge bunkr links using the scrapper tonight. Might be a server issue from bunkr. Gonna try again tomorrow and send logs if the issue still occurs.
