Camwhores blocks many VPN IPs, you can try different servers (preferably from different countries) until you find one that works. Or try a different VPN altogether, there's a list here:

Can confirm , all ASNs of ProtonVPN are blocked by them.
Works direct from my ISP though, but then peeps at my ISP know that I may have a camwhores subscription.. they may want to come over to watch
Sometimes works from TorBrowser if the exit node is a private IP .. i.e. 1% of the tries work over Tor
