I'm a fan of ASMR, and your correct, it is for tingle purposes. The effect that Bob Ross had on his fans, where his gentle voice, and the soothing sounds of brushes on the canvas had with people is what ASMR is about. For me the soothing sounds and whispers help me to relax deeply enough to fall into a nice power nap on my 30 minute work breaks and I work from home. "Whispers of the Wolf" is a good example of that and that helps me to clear my head if I have racing thoughts that prevent me from drifting.

However.....as the community started to grow, other female youtubers learned how profitable it can be, and started doing too. And those others realized how the auditory triggers ASMR possesses can also trigger sexual arousal, depending. So there are many ASMR artists that are about the relaxion therapy that want to help people with depression, severe anxiety, and trouble sleeping, and again, I'm one of those people they are trying to help. But there are also many other ASMR artist wannabees that taking advantage of the concept and crossing sexual lines, it's likely they don't give a shit about helping others, and just see the sexual nature of it as selling more. Then they see it as an easy job doing something sexual without making an OF to strip or fuck on camera for money.

I can give you lots of names of good examples, but Aftynrose was definitely one of them making it all sexual.

I was joking about ASMR just being for tingles. Of course there is erotic ASMR that is not just for tingles.

I used to find it funny when people were making ear licking videos on youtube, which are blatantly sexual, and saying they were for tingle purposes only and sexualization would NOT be tolerated. Cherry Crush, I think, used to do that.

That was probably just speculation, but a lot of people assume she just came back to pay for the work on her house, and stopped again when she earned a substantial amount of money... she made a lot more money doing ASMR than most people make in a regular job.

People have assumed her husband is the reason that she stopped. There is no reason to think that. There are a lot of dudes who are ok with their partner doing things like OnlyFans. AshleyBradyVIP is someone who stands out, though apparently it was her husband's idea and he kind of pressured her to do it so they could afford to pay for their Scientology (side note: doing porn is NOT ok in Scientology, and her OnlyFans has been taken down once critics of Scientology started publicizing their connection since her husband is a GARGANTUAN twat named Tampa Brad who consistently makes the Church of Scientology look bad with his shitty youtube videos). It's fine that she did but there was no explanation no goodbye. Also, her site is still up so it's hard to say if goodbye is really goodbye. Usually or often people that quit delete/remove or otherwise close their stuff/sites down, but Aftyn hasn't. We just don't have any good info really.

The site is still up for anyone that wants to pay for access to the videos already on the site, simply as that, she may return, or not, that's just it.
