Ben (subtitle guy) owns Yeahmad. He recruited everyone, starting with Hammo. Hammo recommended most of the rest of the cast.
Before they got millions of views, they all signed contracts for $ per day of recording. I’ve heard different numbers for those contracts, $200 per day, $500 per day, $200 per episode (they filmed multiple per session), etc. Nothing about potential profits.
Those contracts expired based on dates worked, the cast asked for more pay (for obvious reasons, the channel made a boatload of money in like 3 months flat) and Ben refused.
Almost everyone (Hammo, Abby, Sam, Akila) left within a week of each other, only Sath, Matt and Alan remained. Alan has quietly left since then, and I’ve heard Sath either left or is on his way out.
Sorry if any of this isn’t perfectly accurate, it’s just a summary of the shit I’ve heard on Reddit and picked up on watching the Instagram activity of the former cast.
