Support Rank calculation question - does not counting discussion posts also include related reactions?

Hello, just wanted to be clear. in the rank guide it says

"*Posts in the Discussion and Megathreads categories are not counted"

so does this mean any post in the above categories wont contribute to the required post count or is it for both post count and the reactions gained from said posts? ie i got 10 reactions on a mega thread post, the post count of 1 doesnt count but will the reactions points still count towards the next rank calculation?
