Question What is the best way to download a youtube clip?

So far the best way i found is to make a streamable of a vod and then download, anyone know a way to keep the quality high? (I'm making a clip from a deleted twitch VOD uploaded on youtube)

I usually use a web based downloader. My personal fav has been ytmp3, but I believe JDownloader2 would also work.

i usually use this, but all of a sudden now it no longer supports 4k downloads along with every other downloader sites i know. Anyone know whats going on with that? More importantly does anyone have a site that can still download in 4k?

I have been using 4K Video Downloader for the last 6 months and it has been excellent. The free version limits you to 30 videos a day.

they(yt-dlp) make a prebuilt binary of ffmpeg available for linux and windows (x64 and arm) now -- that makes getting up and running much quicker

otherwise you get to build the patched ffmpeg yourself
