Question What is being done to ensure no underage content is posted to OnlyFans, Patreon, etc?

I worry greatly about that. Does anyone know what sort of screening process OnlyFans has to ensure that no underage content is posted? How about Patreon?

I worry about Reddit as well because members depend on the mods and the poster's honesty.

I do know that this forum is strict - as an example, any and all non-nude content of women who later make an OnlyFans or Patreon etc. is banned.

But... can we depend on the content providers? Even Instagram and TikTok, where women lie about their age, and underagers post lewd content. Some of it sneaks through, and again, we depend on the moderators.

At least with OF, there's a strict verification process. That's what I assume based on one camgirl's constant complaining about how much of a hassle getting verified on OF is.

Nope. You can't have any dependence on the content provider. With OF and Patreon they have a clause that you can't post it. Part of the user agreement. But how do they verify? They don't because you have to register with a Tax ID. And if you're going that far to get paid and traceable? Because OF and Pateron will gladly hand over the bank records to law enforcement. OF and Patreon have a way out.

But lets say you repost it on here. Then you are redistributing. And you have no way out if they find out who you are. It has always been share at your own risk which is universal over the internet.

I would consider this a non-issue. Onlyfans verifies creators well because their relationship with credit card companies mandates it. If there is any suspicion, they would lose their ability to handle payments and would completely fall apart. After Pornhub, no company is taking that risk.

I'm not a lawyer but I imagine that if someone managed to slip through which is very unlikely, the distribution charge they would face would be far greater than the distribution or possession charge anybody unaware would face. I have a hard time imagining anybody being charged for paying for an OF subscription to someone they were told was 18 when you could charge the person intentionally breaking laws to distribute for profit.

Rest easy, many peoples livelihoods are based around making sure this does not happen.

Pornhub/Mindgeek would have got obliterated if they didn't take massive actions a few years back to purge their sites of questionable content.

OF/Patreon aren't taking any chances.
