I guess it wasn't necessarily congratulatory (like "merry christmas" isn't congratulatory) but its still a really weird thing for someone to wish. Days? Sure. But "month" events aren't holidays. I'd say "happy juneteenth" but not "happy black history month" you know? If pride were a day, I'd probably wish Allies and lgbt people I know happy pride, but a month? That's weird as fuck

It's all attention. I don't even believe she's bi. It's a checkbox to her so she can be in the club and get showered with undeserved praise.

Remember those "Stolen Valor" videos? Where someone cosplaying as a military veteran would get called out publicly to stop being disrespectful and take off the uniform they didn't earn? Where are videos like that for people like her? I'm sure I'll get flack for not letting her "speak her truth" or "live her life" but once again, I don't think she's bi or queer just because she says so.

All I've ever seen of her is simping for hot dudes and seen evidence of her dating men only. Just because you say "Yeah, I'm a girl and women are hot" doesn't mean you get to join the fucking club. Women are hot. Men are hot. I can say my same gender is attractive, but I've never dated my gender so I would never call myself lesbian/gay and expect to get all the praise they get for their month. This is just another way for her boring ass to seem interesting. I have 0 issues with LGBTQ members, but she ain't one to me. I remember reading that tweet and thinking "Um, exactly WHO the fuck are you again"?

I have a friend who dated a girl like this. Although they fucked like rabbits and lived together she would always say she liked girls more or that she's a lesbian. She would get super triggered when he would mention her never doing anything with a girl. Fast forward a couple of years and they are broken up and she IS in a lesbian relationship now. But, the point is, it's hard to believe someone when there is 0 evidence of it. Now, I'm not saying she owes the public some proof. I don't need to see a lesbian sex tape or anything, but it hurts her case in my eyes when there's no evidence of any gayness to her other than her words, which have been proven to be dogshit.

As a side note, I was reading the replies to that tweet and one made me laugh but also sums her up perfectly. It said "Why is it every time I've seen a post of yours it's always you talking about you"? Nailed it.
 
I just remember her quoting her Mom once who said something like, "Why do you have tell so many people you're bi?" Supposedly the mom is really fucked up too, so I'm not going to comment on her motives, but it defintely feeds into that theory that she likes to go around telling anyone who'll listen that she's bi because she wants the attention.

I was making a point about people/celebrities claiming to belong to the lgbtq+ community in order to appear more politically correct and 'get them on their side' if you catch my drift here. Which is what I think Tofu is doing.

I think their issue is specifically with using them only dating the other gender as evidence. Its definitely possible celebs pretend to be bi, but only dating the other gender doesn't mean you're not bi.

True as they might be bi-curious, but at the same time it is proof of not being bi, as they have only had straight relationships. I just have a hard time believing someone is bi just because they say they are, especially when its socially beneficial to be 'not straight/binary'.

No, I'm not just saying bi-curious. You are bisexual if you're attracted to people with male and female parts. A bisexual woman could date exclusively men and still be bisexual. Its quite common actually. While it may be socially advantageous for celebrities, for regular people, its important not to trivialize the struggle bi people go through. Not just from homophobic people, but even others in the LGBT. Some people are only sexually attracted to both genders but only desire romantic relationships with the opposite gender. They're still bi. Some people would LIKE to try dating the other gender, but are worried what their families might think. Or they just are not romantically attracted to the other gender. Sexual attraction and romantic love aren't always aligned.


Just like you can be asexual but not aromantic, or aromantic but not asexual. I've seen bisexual people accosted from others in the lgbt community when they started dating someone of the same gender because "oh so they're not really lgbt".

I wouldn't doubt tofu is bi. I think honestly its probably just a good idea to not read into people's expressed sexuality. Even if they're lying for some reason or another, its just usually not worth it to question it. If she says she's bisexual, I believe she's bisexual.

I'd just like to chime in and say I apologize if my comment may have offended someone or came off the wrong way. I wouldn't want someone to think I'm prejudiced in any way because the truth is, I truly don't give a fuck what other people do with their lives. I'm aware of being bisexual vs biromantic. I think I may have muddied my comments original meaning by bringing up her public relationships.

The underlying point, my MAIN point was, I don't trust Tofu, flat-out full-stop. She's muddied the waters too much with her misandrist undertones and shitty attitude (apparently even scamming on her Fanhouse, according to a few comments here). If she's bi, good for her for being comfortable enough to wear it proudly. That's how the world should be. But, giving her lying, spiteful demeanor I put absolutely nothing past her when it comes to attention seeking and trying to get some brownie points. Her tweet about how she was upset just TWO days into pride month with no one wishing her well COULD have been a joke. But everything else about her just screams "Look at me! Look at me! I'm doing a thing!" so I assumed the bi stuff is just seeking adoration.

But, you've got a good point about LGBT people being criticized unjustly and I admit, I shouldn't have brought it up. It invites bad vibes. So, sorry again.
 
Fact is and I´m not defending Tofu at all: We don´t know if Tofu is really bi or not. She says that she is bi and so we can´t proof, that she is not. Maybe she is, maybe she is doing it for attention. Who knows..... and I don´t care, to be honest. Let her do her "I´m bi" thing if she wants to..... she is not hurting anyone by saying that she is.
