I know this forum is just dudes that probably don't even care about her cosplay or fashion but since there's not really any other discussion threads I'll write this here.
The reason why Nora rubs me the wrong way is how she really tries to be seen as this creative and artistic creature when in reality nothing is original or authentic about her. It's funny how whenever someone asks about her commissioned cosplays (the amount she made on her own can be counted on two hands, if not one) she never responds saying where she got them or that they're bought in general. But the moment she makes one cosplay fully on her own she replies to all comments saying she made it from scratch, makes Tiktoks how it's self-made and a whole new Instagram highlight dedicated to it. Every time she reposts photos with her Nier sword she HAS to mention she made it, and that happens at least twice a month. It's cool to be proud of something but I've noticed some people commenting "wow you're so fast with cosplays" and she just responds
"it was planned a long time ago" almost like she's trying to suggest that she made them but without straight up lying in your face...
When she started off she was just buying cheap cosplays from
Uwowo and other Chinese companies just like all other egirls but now she commissions cosplays that cost $1-5k (her
fdstudio firekeeper cosplay) so of course people are gonna say "you improved so much as a cosplayer" and it's gonna seem more impressive. Sometimes I feel like even these pros, like Jessica Nigri who she gets compared to, fall for Nora's tricks to fit in with them and gets the praise for other people's work. Other cosplayers and streamers are calling her THE cosplayer right now when she just puts on the costumes that other worked on and pays them with the money she earned from a scam agency because she's too lazy to press mass message button on OF. posts only focus on her
body paint because she knows damn well this will trick people into thinking she put so much work and detail into the costume, meanwhile she commissioned a seamstress and just did the easiest part of putting it on... What do you mean the body paint "alone" took you a long time when this is the only thing you had to do? The sad reality is that without the budget she has now people wouldn't be so impressed and praising her.
Her female fans on Tiktok got brainwashed into thinking her style is one of a kind and she invented this "noracore" type of clothing so they shit on anyone else with a similar aesthetic. But her fashion content is also just a copy and paste. She mentioned buying her clothes on L'école Des Femmes, which if you go on their website the models basically look like Nora
clones. Overall even the
forest and
industrial backgrounds and vibes are the same, she doesn't add anything on her own to express herself as she claims to. If the
dress is styled with socks and pumps she will put on
identical socks and pumps. You can tell she doesn't really have anything she can call her "own", in 2020/2021 she wore typical egirl outfits because it was trendy and she tried to appeal to the Genshin community because this was getting the most exposure. She keeps saying how she only started being herself recently but guess what, it's just more Instagram-trendy brands. Iamgia, frankies bikinis, sweet chilling, house of cb... all brands that Instagram girls wear, overpriced fast fashion that will go out of style soon. Next year the trends will change and she will keep going on about how actually NOW she's expressing herself and earlier she was just trying to fit in.
Another thing related to fashion would be Instagram highlights where she tries really hard to make herself look like an outcast, she went on a whole rant how she was made fun of for wearing certain clothing in high school then she posted the most typical Tumblr girl outfit that was popular back in the day that neither looks "different" or "weird". Calling yourself "weird" and "dorky" is a red flag to begin with but seems to be the norm with her. On Emiru's stream she kept yapping for 30 mins how much she was the only weirdo even in her "nerdy friend group" because she liked anime, I heard the word "nerdy" coming out of her mouth over 20 times... When Emiru complimented her for being a good talker she instantly started denying it and saying how she's sooo naturally shy and introverted... then kept talking about her group of friends since they kept texting her, constantly slipping out that she has a lot of them then catching herself not fitting into the "shy introverted" persona she curated and went back to denying it again. I don't know why she refuses to accept she behaves normally (she made a highlight about her "strange physical mannerisms"??) and other people also notice she's a good talker and talks A LOT but she would rather be fake quirky.
She loooves posting stories where she tries to make people feel bad for her struggles, even when she announced her collab with Emiru she had to mention how her old Rei cosplay was purchased second hand (she still thrift shops now despite making way more so certainly it's just a choice). Says she doesn't treat herself to designer much and how she still can't get herself to buy a pair of shoes she wants to but one day I got Nico's Tiktok account on my fyp and there was Nora...
with huge bags from Rick Owens and MiuMiu. She also kept bragging about her different vacation stories on the stream when she was younger and how she orders takeout 3x a day since she can't cook at all. Just sounds like a privileged person trying to cosplay as poor when it's convenient. Saying how now she's being authentic is just really ironic when she herself is deluded into thinking she's some kind of socially inept weirdo but clearly manages to easily form connections with new people. Every time she actually slips out and shows her true self she goes back to portraying herself as someone else. Just give another white skinny girl same amount of money and she will be able to pull off the same shit.

Pinterest account so if you look at her old pins or her profile picture you can see she was just a normie girl nowhere close to the "weirdo weeb" she keeps talking about. I'm surprised she managed to keep this fake persona for so long considering she barely played with a controller on Emi's stream. She kept dodging questions about League despite claiming she plays league so much, miss dorky nerd girl plays maybe 2 games a month and is
iron since she jumped on the league train during lockdown. Sorry but it's hard to believe this is someone who "grew up nerdy".
