True. And it doesn't make sense to get in a car accident that leaves her face looking like she got plastic surgery, whereas nothing happened to her body. Rather than piecing together old tweets and trafficking in rumor, much of the truth lies in her youtube interview w/Tanya Tate.
She goes into detail quite a few of the topics discussed on this thread. In short, she faced some pretty extreme, tragic, life-altering situations. Thankfully, she has survived it all and come out on the other side.
Some issues, like her eye surgery (she admittedly brought on herself) but only after doing some pre-op due diligence. While not being approved in Canada or US, she had friends and Insta girls that had the procedure and they were all happy w/the results. Based on actual patient's experience, she went ahead w/the procedure. It wasn't until 2 years AFTER that her friends began to have severe eye problems with some leading to blindness. She was actually blinded but through a sequence of miracles, explained in the interview, she regained her vision.
As far as "lying", she addresses this as well and explains that her core fans were made aware of her situation and many (if not all) stayed w/her while going through that horrific time. Long story short, she was ill-prepared for what happened but still had to earn an income. So we can argue the merits of truth and honesty another day but in the interview she discusses learning some valuable lessons. Korina also goes on to "coach" other performers to prepare for the worst suggesting they shoot and save content to post later in the event they happen to be unexpectedly down for some time, hospital, family emergency, etc. She also discusses her breast size, augmentation, and the current state of her boobs, which I found enlightening because I knew nothing about btw. If you are a Korina fan, it's a lovely, emotional, if not sometimes difficult interview to watch but her rare authenticity and vulnerability (for an adult entertainer these days) just makes her that much more attractive imo.
So rather than dogging on her current looks and physical changes, or her resistance to do BG hardcore, I prefer to celebrate Korina as a true content and technical innovator, truly one of the most creative ever btw, and a legit REAL survivor. Given the fact that at one time (she suggests) there was a pretty solid chance that she would not even be here today, the fact that she survived and has returned to crushing it speaks volumes about her spirit, her resilience, and her genuine love of life.
There should be more Korina Kovas out there.
