All i'm gonna say is that there is nothing in "Aroace-identity" that, like, forbids intimacy. It's just defined as lacking romantic attraction/desire. There are scores of people out there that have non-romantic fuck buddies. And what really is romance that couldn't really be defined as two or more people being really really close "friends."

Nevermind that I may, also, think that Aroace doesn't need its own definition. Like I feel it's just one way to say that you're not that into anyone in your life right now. They're both in their 20s, are they going to be abstinent their entire lives? Honestly I think she sort of talked her way into a corner by publicly not being public about her relationships up until she was like "oh hey im aroace btw guys." Almost to try and persuade people to quit making porn of her/her persona.

Maybe i'm too much of a boomer, but I sort of quit paying attention to all the asexuals out there. Like I get gay, bi, pan, trans, all that jazz. But a-anything? How do you not want to have sex? It's literally programmed into our heads to want to have sex. Either to procreate or just to scratch an itch.

As someone who has a lot of friends on the asexual spectrum I can completely get people being ace just being uncomfortable with the thought of being intimate with a real person for various reasons (trauma, dysmorphia, general disinterest, not being horny at all, etc). Even the group of those who masturbate regularly or have tried still stand by the fact that they're just generally not interested in having sex with people, not necessarily that they're against it. But yea I would say it's an entirely different "spectrum" than say being gay/bi/straight, some people want to be in relationships but just have disinterest in sex, some people want to be abstinent/isolated their entire life, it just depends on the person.

What feels weird to me though is that Jaiden stated she also experiences explicit disinterest in relationships, and her video on it seems to line up as well. No crushes, no feeling of wanting to be in a relationship, and eventually you develop an understanding of why people do it but feeling no urge to do it yourself. I can get maybe if Alpha was the one who approached her, but anyways, it just feels kinda odd to me.

Regardless, I just want to see what other people think is going on with them. At first, I thought people were just being weird about them moving in together, but now it seems like it might be a little more than just that.

I've watched a bunch of her youtube videos, and some of her live stuff, and she really doesn't come across as trauma. Her personality really comes across hard like she was a real late bloomer. (Nothing wrong with that.) And super heavy on the social anxiety. (Again, nothing wrong with that. It is what it is.) I believe there is a section in her coming out video or maybe one specifically about romantic relationships and how she's "bad" at them. She mentioned having a crush or two, one in primary school in her teens, and then again in college. I think the college one was where it was close to physical intimacy, and I read between the lines that she was uncomfortable so called it off. Again, nothing wrong at all about that. Actually pretty common with girls to be anxious their first time. Hell it's not that uncommon for guys, either.

Anyway, my entire point is that it is a lot easier to say "no, i don't want to have sex with any of the people in my life right now," and a lot more socially acceptable to say, rather then make it your entire identity. As for her and Alphread is that they may be fucking on the side. It's pretty easy to buy if they're discrete about it. And it's also really really easy to buy that all their close friends are in on the "keep it on the down low." Them saying, repeatedly, just comes across as selling the secret. But she, no doubt, recognizes that she more legitimize a bunch of young lgbtqa people who feel like they either identity as aroace or feel like they want to fit in on the spectrum and need that identity. So she needs to commit to the identity now. But, to further my opinion, there is a lot of time between now in their 20s, and some time in their 80s or 90s, ya know? Time changes a lot of things about people.

Asexuality is perfectly valid, and I truly believe she is asexual (and possibly a virgin) herself.
If you identify with a specific group that happens to be rare, it's only natural that you'd want to show people it's nothing to gawk at or shame. It makes it easier to breathe for both yourself and others in the group.

That being said, sexuality is fluid
She is only 26 and is incredibly attractive and popular. If she wanted to experiment in the future, she could do so at any time.

If she doesn't become sexually active and more risque with her content in the future, that's fine.
If she does, that's also fine.

The 2nd option would admittedly make me more invested tho 👀
