This is a basic or quick start guide to get you started not intended to be comprehensive or advanced in the slightest.
Before You try to de-censor anything Click the gear icon then click advance to adjust your settings as the pictures tell you to.
Javplayer is pretty simple to use just time consuming . You have to first understand how it works so you can understand how to use it. The program looks for mosaic patterns in the videos then tries to apply a mask to them so that section of the video can be AI upscaled and enhanced with various selectable filters .
Interface / buttons explained
The basic work flow is straightforward. Find a part in the video you want to DE censor that's about 5 seconds long , mark it's start and stop point using the first two arrows. This will cause javplayer to play that section in a loop. Now you enable the processing control panel (explained below) and adjust the settings so the mask on screen totally covers the area's to be DE censored.
Open configtools for Tg-plus located in the main folder for javplayer then select the settings you want to use , hit save on config tools and hit record in javplayer .(remember it must be set to something other than internal before you hit record)
The idea is to try as many combinations of settings as needed on a small section of video till you create a result you like. After recording is done javplayer will have created a 5 second video clip that you can view in the folder you set . If you have not set the folder it's in the folder named movie within the main folder. Once you have established what settings work you can move to the next step and you may close configtools .
The annoying part
In video's things move around parts get covered ,change in scale and orientation, you have to compensate for this by manual keying these points in the video. Set the start and stop points of the video like you did with the 5 second clip but with the whole of the video or section you want to de-censor. Return to the start of the video range then you have skip through or play the video adding markers at each section that are not properly covered by the mask . Javplayer allows you make settings for every section of video in between markers. By doing this you can adjust the settings based one what's on the screen at the time. Once you have set each marker and adjusted the settings to keep 3d mask in place you can render the movie and wait. If you are trying this on a full movie I would do this one scene at a time in case something goes wrong or doesn't turn out right .
processing control panel
1: Automatic adjustment sensitivity
2: Sensitivity control for how fine the mosaic is
3:Sensitivity control for blurred mosaics
4:Sensitivity control for the color filter / differences between colors
5: Adjust the width of the polygon mask.
2 and 3 can only be adjusted when auto is turned off.
To open click on the last icon on the top right with a plus sign on it .
ConfigTools settings explained
The models are in order from 1-8 and applied in that order.
Since Tecogan does the DE censoring it must go first and you are only given the option of which De-censoring method is applied.
Tecogans models are
TG-AF1 This setting removes flickering but applies blur.
TG-STD This tries to rebuild what's there with ai
TG-8x Upscales 8 times
Denoise Does as the name implies it tries to remove noise
veai This is an out of app image enhancer that's really good but you have to install it yourself
Downscale reduces the size of upscaled images before they are turned into video to save ram. If you have 12 + gb you might not need it.
SE-4x All of these upscale like veai just not always as well
UE-4x same as Se-4x
The stock settings actually work well , i would start with those .
