Discussion How are you storing content?

having discovered this amazing community maybe a month ago i am starting to run low on space on my comp.

how does everyone store their collection. i see some users upload TB worth of content of different egirls. how is this possible? any recommendations?

using external hard drive, service like mega, mix of both?

I use an old phone with multiple micro SD cards. This way I always have something on the go and can use it everywhere I want

I was using pCloud and it works well for streaming but I'm getting ready to download it all onto 2 external hard drives then just network share those and access them using CX Explorer/SMB from my tablet or android tv. Tested it today for the first time and it works surprisingly well. Makes little sense to pay a subscription for a host that could go down when you can just local stream from your PC for free. I'd look into a NAS but the cost isn't worth it to me and I don't need that much storage.

Plus if I want to quit/take a break from p... I can just unplug them and hide them away without having to unsub and resub to a cloud.

I made the beginner mistake early on of using OneDrive/Google Drive but those aren't great for streaming, too much buffering. Plus I like to keep those for regular stuff and have it separate from p...

On a related topic, how do you organize content? VLC is great as a media player but very poor in terms of organizing content. To "flatten" out several cascading folders I have to add everything to one giant playlist. I'd love to be able to tag my own media library by keyword too.

Also, anyone else baffled to learn people store their porn in cloud storage?

I go top level of Site.... so I might have OF or XHAMSTER or ALSSCAN or something, as the top level.. then by model name. I've considered doing more by using metadata or tags. But I have like a petabyte of info now,.... so while I might be idealistic and think I'll do it... i likely never will

It doesn't have reverse image search. There's a public metadata database (stashdb.org) and it uses the perceptual hash of your scenes to find the metadata in the database.

It's not like people come into the room and say "Is that a server? Does it have porn on it? You disgust me!"

Also, its probably not visibly sitting on the couch. And if people ask you could always say "family photo backups".

Lol I've actually since moved and have it racked up in the basement now along with its twin.

The type of people I'm friends with think a server is the dude at waffle house. People know about my big computer box thing and I leave it at about that

i have nowadays a 8tbHDD and another other 3tb HDD.
Always running out of space, specially now that i discovered this fantastic comunity!!
Always having to discard thing that i dont find to exciting anymore.

I pretend to invest in a bigger HDD ( probably 18 or 20tb) as sonn as prices here in brazil becomes better ( wich is really difficult).

To be honest, nowadays i find more exciting to discover and download new videos that are from my fetishes category than properly watch them...

I have a folder called new, with videos i still didnt watched with more than 8000 videos... hahaha!!

well I used a 5 tb LaCie portable drive, I say used to because it started to display the “volume is dirty” upon attempting to copy files onto it, luckily I can access and copy files from it.
The annoying thing is it is exactly half full at 2.5tb, I think I might have to format it.

Before that I had 2 1tb micro sd cards now both full and a desktop 1tb drive before that.

Cant store it on my self becuse my country bans porn. but cant store it online porn storage apps like mega becuase i dont trust their 'encryption". I just throw it up on a normal app meant for normal vids like youtube leavee it on private and watch whenver im free

I have mine split between an external drive, and then mega
Most fits on my drive, but all my really large folders, and even some dud content folders (ones i dont care about anymore) all go on mega to free up space
