I think folks are underestimating how hard it is to fake it. It's not simply a means of getting a new identity and getting up and go. The old life is so connected that the fallout involves more people than you'd imagine.

Family, Debtors, SSA, employment, law enforcement, civil/federal agencies, IRS...hell even dentists.

A professor once created a formula to quantify how many people would be needed to keep a secret, and for how long. For example, with all the folks involved at NASA, if the Apollo missions were staged, it would've come out with 3.5yrs.

There's no way this guy has more resources than nasa. It's also why majority of folks who do try to fake it get caught.
 
unless this is some FBI witness protection shit, which screams highly unlikely, considering the claim is alice herself is saying where he supposedly is and what he is doing. this isnt like back in the day when you could just call up the newspaper and put in an obituary without much effort. i know i dont know the guy or any of them at all, but what legal case would be relevant here where he needed to fake his death for having shitty opinions, unable to take any shit talking, even being shot and assuming he didnt die? he isnt doing that on his own and unless alice is just blowing smoke up peoples asses because she either doesnt want to answer any questions about him and she hates him, this whole thing is crazy. i dont know what kind of proof would even exist unless there is some actual recent evidence of him alive and insane. her saying so doesnt mean its true, and she could have her own reasons for making up anything she is saying.
