I don't have a list I can recite off the top off my head but I agree with these, and The Real Thing is goated.
I think 2014/15 - 2020/21 was the best in terms of output, noticeably for Blacked. The sex positions were crazy and looked great, blowjob scenes (especially around the Lansky era) were great looking, and the backgrounds (particularly 2015/16-2019) weren't always taking place in a white bedroom.
They've tried alleviating that last issue sometimes in recent years, but not nearly enough, and the sex positions and blowjob scenes aren't really as satisfying to watch anymore.
Hardcore studios are different than regular ones, a lot of hardcore studios being sourced around Europe doesn't mean the selection of models VMG uses have been doing that stuff. VMG scenes are also shot a lot softer than they used to be.
The scenes used to be a lot better directed. Nowadays, you can outright tell every/which reaction is faked with the exception of a portion of the Blacked/Tushy Raw scenes.
There are still some good VMG scenes, but at the present it feels sort of like a "you don't know how good it was til it's over" type thing. They're still the highest quality studio group around in terms of production quality, but in terms of output a lot of the scenes feel formulaic and dull unfortunately. Not all, but a good portion.
