one time i made a very specifc order from https://linktr.ee/joyceaaliyah. It was one of the first times i was ordering on OF so my dumbass was paying for a $1 a message to get things confirmed. Then I sent her like a decent chunk of money for the order. She straight up ghosted for multiple months, and I didnt want to pay for messages to get an update so I put in a support ticket.
She tried to stall by sending me free ppv, but it was mid and not worth the money I spent.
And this lying bitch said she emailed me the content, and then sent me a video which WAS NOT MY specific request to pretend like she did make what I ordered.
Of course, OF support wasnt going to watch the vid she sent to confirm if it was what I ordered. So I was out a bunch of money and she blocked me lmao.

So I know why (or at least have a very real suspicion) this came about:
If a creator gives you a great deal (or even somewhat reasonable one) and great service on a custom, it WILL be on a clip site within weeks if not sooner.
No matter how much you paid for that "exclusive" the creator is going to make generally 10x that on the clip sites, at the very least! Actually the more you pay for it (it's longer, more detailed, involved, and scripted) the sooner it will go up!

If any of you are old Manyvids customers you will remember there use to be a custom of the creators outright stating in the description:
"This was a custom for _____. I received his/her permission to post it."

Now your lucky if the creator says: "The name ____ is used repeatedly" (Bella Bates is one of the few who still do this on a regular basis)
The reason for this is obvious, as good video will become permanent income and could be the ultimate showcase for your work. A good example is Rainbow Slut and specifically, Kawaii School Girl:

How do I know this? I was recently in talks for a custom with several models during the Spring Contest, and almost to a one even before we came to terms they wanted to see the full script (even though the price was already set due to the contest), and almost every single model asked me if they could call me something else almost anything else, other than my actual name (it's middle eastern).
I responded to each of them "My names not that bad is it", and each hemmed and hawed until they finally admitted my name was sufficiently 'foreign' enough (even though I'm a 7 or 8th generation African American) that it might be a "turn off" for when they posted it to the site. Almost all of them then admitted after a little interrogation that the assumption of a commission being private, was a thing of the past and you could not pay most of them enough to keep it private permanently if the script was good enough and the video was hot enough. Especially if it involved specialized clothing, make-up or toys (which you also have to purchase) because somebody else will be into that shit and fetish/cosplay niches can make you a LOT of money especially if you (the mode) are the only one exploiting it.

I ordered a custom from a model once, and she gave me a %50 discount because it was her first time doing that type of video, and I specifically asked for my name usage in it. The video was delivered like 2 weeks late without the name usage. And THEN was resold at 30% of what I bought it for like a couple weeks later in my DMs. Massive L for me tbh.

I think its more rare that a Professional Studio take custom requests, than just getting them straight from the model(unless you count Camgirl Houses/"Management"/"Pimps" as professional studios), especially since they already have a consumer base that is fine buying the non-specific vids.

After all, these sites are all about the model SELLING content, and its 100% correct that yes they will probably be taking a hit in their bottom line if they dont resell, BUT this only applies to big names. They only take a hit if they KNOW there are 15 more buyers that will come by in the future to purchase.

I don't think most of the established models or producers are going to risk their reputations/accounts to bilk someone out of a few hundred dollars (or even thousands), but their are thousands of fly by night accounts that appear every day and they have every incentive to im a dumbass and as many people as they can over before they get banned and deleted.

If you are considering purchasing anything for tips from a creator, do a little research:
- Check their bio to see how long they have been on the platform
- Check to see if MV is their main platform and they are not just using it to direct you to a Fansly or Onlyfans (Larkin Love)
- See how many videos they have. Even if not a lot if they are posting them at regular intervals (even if once a month) that could be a good sign. But only having a few videos without regular updates is usually not a great sign.
- CHECK WHEN THEIR MOST RECENT VIDEO WAS! If it been more than a few months without any notices on their feed/page/bio, run do not walk! Yeah their are a few like Princess Berpl and PsilocybinSkye take long hiatuses and are considered trustworthy, but they both also have very active socials where they keep their fans posted on their current status
- You are probably safe-ish/er if the creator is on the top 200 earner list or is a very well known creator.

I personally do purchase vids and photosets for tips (the artist gets more) when they offer me a deal but I generally buy only from more well known/stable creators like:

I have been ripped off twice on customs bought through a contest. Both times MV said tough shit. It didn't matter that I had proof I was supposed to receive something. Back and forth messages with the models discussing the custom before any vote was even spent. FWIW one of those times I got scammed was from a model I had bought a few legitimate customs from in the past. I have had good luck when it's one of those 3 videos for X number of votes deals but not with customs. Both of those models are still doing contests BTW. Maybe I'm the only person they ripped off or maybe MV is not so quick to bar them from entering.

Your probably not wrong. I've yet to do an actual commission. Just vids and photo shoots. For both votes and tips. I already put up my list of those who I've done it with. I think most of the top girls and long time creators, its just not worth it to fuck someone over.
But I would never do a commission for just straight tips unless I know the model is unassailable like Aiko Moe or EmmasSecretLife.

very likely. but it depends on what is on the page, the free trial is part of a sales funnel to get potential buyers in. Normal accounts without management might have full length videos on front page, on the other hand, experienced marketeres/management will only put teases on the page, and promote ppvs in dms or new posts as limited time vids/pics etc.
