A word of caution on Manyvids. If you buy a custom make sure to buy it through the proper custom video form. A lot of models will offer customs through contest votes [often at a discount] but Manyvids considers contest votes to be tips and will not refund your money. It should go without saying do not buy customs through tips either, for obvious reasons.
While one should be careful. You can get some incredible deals on videos and customs during the contest, it is literally the point of them.
Manyvids encourages the creators to bribe their fans, which increases the number of votes, which is a win win for both parties even if the creator doesn't win.
And while Manyvids will generally not reimburse you for your votes if you are promised something and not get it...After a few complaints (a very few), you no longer get invited to participate in contest, and that is if they banned that creators account.
It is much safer to get customs through votes than through regular tips (The artist has to post a list of deals they are giving for contest, not necessary with tips). You will have proof that you were at least supposed to receive something. Even though you won't get your money back Manyvids will deal with the perpetrator, because if they don't they kill the whole point of contest: If you can't trust that you will get your deal, what's the point in voting?
I have received every item I was promised during contest and very quickly (but be careful when they say "any vid", most of the creators do not consider compilations as part of these deals).
Also note: Contest are vetted, you have to apply to be in them in the first place, and I'm pretty sure that you must be considered a member in good standing to even be considered for them. My broke ass love buying vids and photos during contest.
As for TIPS:
Yah pays yur monies and yah takes yur chances.
I've gotten really good deals on photos and videos for tips. It's generally a win win for both parties. They get more much more profit, and you probably get a
lot more value for your money.
But as stable333 has stated using just straight tips for something like a custom is very risky. I don't think most of the established models or producers are going to risk their reputations/accounts to bilk someone out of a few hundred dollars (or even thousands), but their are thousands of fly by night accounts that appear every day and they have every incentive to im a dumbass and as many people as they can over before they get banned and deleted.
If you are considering purchasing anything for tips from a creator, do a little research:
- Check their bio to see how long they have been on the platform
- Check to see if MV is their main platform and they are not just using it to direct you to a Fansly or Onlyfans (Larkin Love)
- See how many videos they have. Even if not a lot if they are posting them at regular intervals (even if once a month) that could be a good sign. But only having a few videos without regular updates is usually not a great sign.
- CHECK WHEN THEIR MOST RECENT VIDEO WAS! If it been more than a few months without any notices on their feed/page/bio, run do not walk! Yeah their are a few like Princess Berpl and PsilocybinSkye take long hiatuses and are considered trustworthy, but they both also have very active socials where they keep their fans posted on their current status
- You are probably safe-ish/er if the creator is on the top 200 earner list or is a very well known creator.
I personally do purchase vids and photosets for tips (the artist gets more) when they offer me a deal but I generally buy only from more well known/stable creators like:
- Anna Jones, Bettie Bondage, Harley Sin, SloanMoans, Hafwin, Mama Fiona, Pink Drip, Ellie Skye, Wetschoolgirl, Little Puck
