the industry needs more than just discussions though. if i recall the situation with Dean correctly, no charges were actually filed, no police reports, nothing but conjecture and hearsay. And despite all of the alleged witnesses, he was able to dismiss it by saying these were "jilted lovers" or "it was part of a rough BDSM scene". an allegation without anything substantial to back it up, is always going to be side-eyed.

there needs to be clear guidelines and reprocussions. Some studios (kink i believe) do filmed entrance and exit questionaires, prior to scenes literally going over the boundaries and consent and overall satisfaction with a shoot. we need more of this, and to go farther.

if a written boundary is breached while filming, there needs to be an immediate and financial consequence to address it. 1st offense = warning, 2nd offense = banned from shooting for x amount. Scarlet letter these fuckers, i dont know.

Although this particular part of this thread is disheartening, this has been some of the realest talk Ive read. me too.
