Very interesting thread this.
A lot of comments about conversations with models - usually on OF - that start off fine and become abusive and ultimately lead to being blocked only to be later unblocked and the whole things starts again. Based on my work in the sex industry (strip clubs where every other girl is 'a creator'), here's what will be happening some of the time. I stress some.
Imagine you're working in a bar or a restaurant and someone orders a Scotch. You're probably told to upsell so you say, 'would you like a large...' etc. What you don't do if they say no is tell them to 'GTFO'. Similarly, a professional creator will try to upsell you content, because they're in the sales business, and if you say 'no, I'd like x, y, or z at your published price', if they are professional, they'll say 'no problem, enjoy, come back soon now', words to that effect.
This is where addiction in the industry comes in.
If you're an addict, and a depressing number are, largely working to feed whatever you're into at this point, your stash is zero, you're jonesing, and you've blown whatever you've made on your last fix; you've seen someone trying to spend an amount that isn't enough to get what you want so when the customer says 'I won't cashapp you more', they say 'GTFO' because they suddenly see you as the reason they can't get their fix, rather than the fact they need a fix is what's the real problem. So when you get blocked for trying to spend 50 not 100, and told to 'GFY', only to be unblocked a little later, there's a chance what's happened is, they got someone to pony up, stabilised, disassociated themselves from poor behaviour, and ready to go again. They really don't do what a pro does, look back on what's happened, think 'I acted badly, I need to make up for that or I'll lose the business', they literally act like it never happened. They need money and will style out anything to get it. You, once bitten, say no, get a ton of expletives, and blocked, and now it's a loop.
So next time they're acting erratically, ask yourself, 'does this convo have the feel of someone who's twitching at the other end of this chat?'.
Of course other explanations include, they're just awful, you've not exactly covered yourself in glory, and of course they are desperate for money, just not necessarily for addiction and they've let that cloud their better judgement.
Happy posting!
