Since the megathread doesn't allow discussions I decided to make one.

This thread will mostly be talks about making PMVs "help with creating videos and feedback" and general discussion.

I'll start it off with asking two questions, what's your favorite music genre for PMVs? 2nd one is, out of 3 screens/splitscreen, full screen or mixed, what format do you enjoy the most?

Personally I enjoy full screen the most, but it's also the hardest imho to make, especially short ones.

1. I enjoy fast-paced pop, especially sexually explicit pop and "bubblegum pop"
2. I prefer full screen landscape if the scenes are "synced" to the music in some way, or split 3 screens otherwise (with 3 different scenes, not just mirrors of the same one) to give me an option to view my preferred scene on each split

I like rap for PMV’s but usually female rap especially these new age explicit rap girls (Megan, Doja, Latto, Ice Spice, etc.) I also enjoy the bubblegum pop types but usually just on the hip hop side.

I like a mix of both full screen and split screen but it depends on the subject tbh if it’s TikTok girls I’ll love a split screen but porn girls and I’ll prefer fullscreen.

I would encourage anyone who enjoys PMVs to start making their own. There is a learning curve, but you will have fun gathering the source materials (which is most of the work) and you might find it to be a new avenue of self-expression as you develop your own style. It's also a great way to see the sort of videos that you wish other people would make in terms of the video content (the stars that you want to see in action), the music that you personally enjoy and the overall feel of the video.

Now, to answer your thoughtful discussion prompts -

(1) My favorite musical genre will always be something I haven't heard anyone use before. I enjoy novelty. Also, I prefer it when the music or lyrics of the song have some relationship to the video content.

(2) In terms of layout, what I prefer above everything else is that the video fit the feel of the music or the theme/plot of the overall video. Also, if my eyes cannot track the content because it's a random mess of cuts in 3 splitscreen panels with no relationship to each other or the music, I'm going to skip to the next thing. I understand completely how the widespread availability and popularity of Tiktok and Onlyfans videos in 9x16 layout definitely have pushed the genre towards 3 panels. Using those source materials limits your choices in terms of layouts for PMVs, but there is room for further innovation in the way those source videos are used. It doesn't only have to be 3 splitscreen panels of on/off of a girl dancing in the center alongside mirror images on the left and right side of her getting pounded, all cut and synced to a 4-on-the-floor beat with everything color matched with occasional overlays of gooning text prompts. There's nothing wrong with that, but I think that style's had its day already. Like I said, I'm a novelty junkie and I'm always excited about the next innovative video from someone with far better editing skills than I have.

The good thing about making your own is that you are able to add your own material if you have it. It's also good if you'd like to make high quality videos. For example, my last video that I made is around 60GB 59.94 fps 4k h265 and main10. Been looking for a way to upload it but haven't been able to find a site yet unfortunately, was able to upload to one site but it was downgraded to 720p and looked like shit

I'm also a bit picky with that type of girls I want to see, type of music and the pace. I'm a huge fan of softcore and EDM, stuff like stasyq, metart, etc.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who makes them primarily for myself to achieve what I want to see personally! By the way, that's a huge video file you have there! That must have taken a huge amount of time and some serious computing power to render. You'd probably have to use a torrent or a paid cloud storage to share it without breaking it up or compromising the quality.

I've been working on that video for a LONG time, it's around 1h15min. It's more of a softcore approach where I focused more on emotions than just fast paced fucking in the first 10 sec.

It has been a pain to find good enough clips to use, and I'm still not completely satisfied and I'm thinking if I should do softcore all the way, or if I should build it up with penetration etc towards the end.

Cool idea! could work really well depending on what clips you chose and music. I'm guessing you are going for 90s music as well? I would imagine that it's pretty painful to find pornos with leotards, especially if you want good quality ones with the right tempo etc.

For me personally it depends on the music, but generally I like it if the images is in some kind of motion, and you should avoid showing them for too long. But it also depends, if you have a video with a picture that is associated, you could have the picture on screen a bit longer. An example of this is if you take emiru for example, she doesn't make nsfw content, but if she has a cosplay picture with a blue wig for example, you could grab a video of a girl with a similar build and with a blue wig getting fucked and have the picture on the side so the viewers imagination can do the rest.
