Guide Picture Uploading and Downloading - JPG5.su

Introduction​

Recently we activated an external plug-in that will allow you to upload images to an external host (JPG5.su) and then automatically have the images inserted into your posts (via bbcode).
The button is javascript so make sure to not block it with any antivirus or extensions

JPG5.su supports jpg, png, bmp, gif and webp with a max file size of 15 MB.

We are using an external host to offload picture deliver to another server and avoid overloading the main forum server.

Registration and Use​

To use this external host you will need to register a free account at JPG5.su
Once registered, you can use the new "Upload Images" button

This will present you with this pop-up which will require you to login if not done so already

​

One logged in, drag and drop your files onto the pop-up and click upload.

When uploading is finished, the popup will automatically close and your images will be inserted into your post

Albums

You can also create albums on jpg5.su similar to Pixl etc and share those links on here.
To create an album, go to your profile on https://jpg5.su/ and select create album in the top right.
When uploading via the button you are presented with the option to select the album you would like to upload into from the drop down menu.

Downloading From JPG5.su​

Below are some popular methods we've compiled for downloading albums from JPG5.su.

Method 1
jdownloader​

jdownloader now fully supports jpg5.su albums, simply paste the album link into jdownloader and it will detect all images in the album to download.

Method 2
Browser Extensions​

Browser extensions are always a simple solution, and that's no different here. The Fish is built on an open-source image hosting software called Chevereto, so existing extensions created for Chevereto will work to download albums. For the example here, we will use Chevereto download button for Chrome or Chevereto download button for Firefox.

The extension will add a download button to the top right of the album. The button only downloads the content you can view on screen i.e. 42 images per page.

Method 3
Mass Downloaders (includes mobile)​

A much more time efficient method to download entire large albums in one go, would be to use a mass downloader program along with the direct image links handily provided directly on the album page.

In order to get the direct links, open your album and click Embed Codes as indicated below.

From here you will want to select the drop down and choose the option for Direct Links.

After that it's as straightforward as copying the list of links and pasting them into a mass downloader program such as JDownloader or your preferred alternative. Note jdownloader now supports pasting in the album link to download the full album, see Method 1 for more info.
Or if you are on mobile copy them into a downloader app such as Advanced Download Manager

Note: this method has a limit of 1000 images

Forum Post Downloader - Tampermonkey Script​

The Forum Post Downloader Tampermonkey Script adds a download button alongside every post and a download all button at the top of every page which will download every post on the page.
