But the way I can best understand Japanese porn laws is:
Porn produced in Japan can not be sold inside Japan or marketed to Japanese buyers if it's uncensored
Porn produced in Japan however can be sold overseas uncensored ONLY if the recording is not also available in Japan in any version.
That's why Labels like SkyBlue and Red Hot can produce uncensored JAV in Japan for overseas audiences - But only as long as NO versions at all of the same video (even uncensored) are available in japan.
That would explain why Studio Leaks are a big scandal in Japan - It would mean the censored version being sold in Japan has to removed from the market.
