I just use https://igram.io/ I know it’s not an app but it’s super easy to just copy the Instagram post link and paste it on the bar and you can download the videos or pictures to mobile. I do it all the time on my iPhone then upload the pics/vids to this forum all on my phone.

On my Android I use an app called Barinsta, you can get it if you have f-droid.
It's quite versatile. Works just like the official Instagram application, but you're able to download stories, photos, albums and videos in actual quality.
Only downside is you can't do an automated full profile scrape, mostly manual work and only works on public profiles and private profiles that you follow (after logging in).

I wish I'd seen this sooner! I've been using IG Saver ($3 a month I think) for a month now and it's sooooooo slow and glitchy. You can't even access their stories from there

If you dont follow it and the person didn't accept you the answer is No. It won't be possible and any site that suggests its possible is fake and tries to lure you into pay a big amount of money (basically trying to scam you) or want you to do some ad's shit.

No its safe. Have been using it for over a year now (probably even longer idk) and never had any problems with it.

It does require you to login but then have an easy time saving private content, vids, stories everything. Looks like you have to pay on the first screen
just hit the x at the top left you'll see a really short ad sometimes then just copy links and ta-da. I've been downloading from insta for years one way or another, I think they gave up on suspending me.
