Discussion How do you guys manage to have enough storage to download all the content from here?

From here and externally, like all those bunkr files/megas etc, they add up over time. I bought a 16 TB HDD and its already maxed out. I think the online cloud based storage stuff are even more expensive since you dont need to physically have a big bulky external HDD to utilize them.

To tell you the truth , I did invest in one of those, called "backblaze" but it was a complete waste of money as i ended up getting a "safety frozen error".

I'm just curious, how do you guys manage to have enough storage?

Do you use some kind of file sharing service? Do you upload onto sites? I imagine that would take a lot of time to be downloading/uploading constantly

Anyways curious to hear your thoughts.

Also, I sincerely apologize if this was in the wrong category. I couldnt find where to post this under.

I'm pushing 30 TB originally started with a 1 TB external HD, slowly graduated to a NAS in house and that's already maxed out. Not counting OF pics and videos the last count was close to 32K videos. 🙃

That said I too have been searching for a cloud based server to upload but I've had bad luck with my test being taken down, currently running more test with Mega right now, different email one set for personal use only and I'll use GoFile or Bunkr to share with. It's time consuming but I also like to keep my videos and pics organized a certain way.

I need an assistant to organize my porn. 🤦‍♂️

I only keep the best videos of the models I like :) Alongside that, I will delete any of them that are not high recording quality (so no vertical recorded videos, or low quality frames, low fps etc). Due to my high selectivity I can keep the storage to a minimum, and also have great videos to always look at instead of having millions of videos I will never see in my life again.

I have petabyte of collection over 25 years , basically I buy a new HDD , a new SSD and a new 50 bundle of blueray each month/2 month

this is the 12th tower of Blueray disc
Do you ever look at stuff again? Is it just pure datahoarding? Whats the endgame. or what do you collect?

I've heard of NAS, but my knowledge on it is very limited, and I'm an average human user. But is it correct that the NAS itself doesn't add to your storage amount, just makes it easier to organize all the several HDD's one may have instead of having to get one HDD from the drawer and put the one connected back into it?

Are there any other benefits to it? Like less likelihood of the disks failing mechanically? I only have one pc, so accessing the drives on different ones wouldn't matter to me

Exposedpoem191: it's both , the blueray part is the archive , I have some Mdisc for the really longertime archive (where I put not just porn but videos , games , music for the mdisc) I take my SSD when I want to see some stuff. I keep on my computer SSD around 2TB of stuff I watch regularly, and 256gb on a SD card if I want ot see them on my phone

I have 2 external hard drives. I post on phun.org and *Blacklisted site*. tons of celebs and porn saved. I have a huge kim k and scarjo collection.

wish i could do this.

personally i use a nas, i'm on my third one now ~80TBs, also have a 20TB and 40TB nas stations.

Hopefully the 80TB is it for me (i only have ~18 left on it) and i'll have left this hobby behind before thats it. Don't want to sink more money into storing files.

52TB array with double parity Unraid self built server, upgrading to 84TB next year.

However most is not porn, I don't keep most content I DL unless I really like it (8TB in total last i checked). Most are torrents and movies/TV shows as it also hosts my PLEX server, I also use it for self hosting all my own cloud storage.

I move places regularly. Most of my stuff is stored in HDDs and those HDDs are back home. The problem is, I can't access the porn whenever I like. I want to find a cloud solution but I don't want to lose my stuff if I forgets to renew or the service gets stopped etc..

16TB but I'm very selective of what I keep. Only using 3TB from the past 2 years. I don't keep main stream porn or big names, only smaller name models. I do have a few 1TB SSD that are not in a system for one of a kind custom stuff.

I just updated to 2x 20TB drives for Porn (& it's already almost full lol)
I have a 8 Bay enclosure so everything is on hand when I need it.
Probably close to 200TB in all with the 4K, 1080p Movies & TV Shows taking up a lot.

I HEVC encode almost everything, which can take a 4GB source file and make it 1GB (or less).
You can't even tell the difference between them when it's done on a slow preset.
Unless you have a faster CPU, it can take ages though.
GPUs are quicker but dont give you the best detail.

To me that's the best way to save space while keeping as much as you can.
No point in keeping a huge 1080p file, when you can encode it with basically no loss in quality.
It does depend on the video bitrate source - minimum of 5000kbps (5MB/s) to be able to encode,
then have a good picture afterwards. If it's under that, then probably best to leave it as is.

it has been really hard for me.
I have a 8tb and a 3tb external HDDs and am always running out of space.
Always trying to delete things that i dont find exciting anymore.

This community is really fantastic and also recently discovered.

Nowadays for me it has been more exciting to find and download videos that are in my fetishes zone than properly watching them.

Have a folder called new with more than 8000 videos that i still dodnt watched.

I would love to have more space in my HD to do more downloads.

What program do you use for encoding, and do you have general settings for getting file size down to 1GB or less?
