So I noticed with that upscaled GIF collection that the bit-rate of the videos is unreasonably high; most of the videos are over 60 Mbps, and a few are over 100 Mbps! Even for 4K that's overkill. And considering that the videos are between 5-30 seconds, 6 GB is a lot for the whole collection. So I ran them all through Handbrake and optimized them to a more reasonable size. These new videos are visually identical to the originals, but now the whole collection comes in at around 970 MB, an 80% reduction is size.
