Support Discussion vs Megathread

Is there a difference between discussion threads and megathreads such as this one vs this one? Or both can exist no problem ezpz? :peepoShrug:

Discussion threads are for chatting about the topic, requests and not for posting content. Usually created when threads are moved to content only or whenever there's too much spamming / off-topic posts on the main thread.

Megathreads are for content only once, relating to the topic, but that a model can only be posted once and must have a thread/social link provided as well. So mainly for discovering new threads / models related to the topic. So making multiple posts about the same model is not allowed. (y)

So even if a discussion thread and a megathread have similar/identical content, in the discussion thread you can freely chat and go off-topic etc
