As far as i'm aware those can simply be right clicked to open in a new tab
So media uploaded in a thread like this one
Opening in a new tab works for videos in media, but not videos posted in threads. If a picture or video is posted in a thread you cannot open it in a new tab.
Do you use an account?
Picture don't working for me in the thread neither not in the thread also. In the other hand some videos working. I think sometimes founded when I googled search this website videos opening directly reminded me that situtation. I have accounts so you can see videos sections opening work there. Finally not conclude the clear way my percpective.
I do but not with a gold membership which I assume you have if it works. Clicking on either says I do not have permission.
I don't have gold but did in the past, i tried it with a fresh account and it worked on both

So adding /lightbox or /full to attachments will open them the same way you would with normal media links? I am trying this but it does not seem to be working.
No I had to make a fresh account to access photos and videos in threads. The lightbox/ and full/ work for media uploaded to profiles. Not sure why that is. Making a fresh account if you're having problem viewing stuff in threads should work.
Odd, i have made 2 new accounts trying this, one using Tor via brave and I still get ""Oops! We ran into some problems. You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action.""
Try opening in another browser. Like your logged into blacktowhite in firefox, then paste the link with the /full or /lightbox in chrome.
