im lost i can preview too but it just gets stuck on loading ai model does not matter how small, large and time the video is. i just downloaded topaz and went straight into trying to process its not working. but on the file download read me it says to replace file? and then log in but i have to create an account to log in... do i need to make an account to work it? sorry if this is stupid can anyone help?

Did you run the regedit file that comes with the program, it should allow you to put anything into the account? I forgot where I got mine from but apparently lrepacks is a legit source so try that one instead.

on the file cr 2.3.0 the read me notepad says

- Install.

- Replace fix.

- Open program, click Help / Log in just click log in or use any data to log in, either will work out.

im lost at the replace fix one im dumb can anyone help thanks

I had a look and I believe you need to:

1. Install the "full installer" file.
2. Copy the contents of the "fix" folder into the directory where it was installed
3. run the .reg file that is copied over (should just double click and run, maybe need right-click run as administrator)
4. run the topaz program
5. put anything into login/password area
6. it should work after that

This is just a warning If your computer is older than 4 years also do even think about trying upscale videos it will take you 40 to 60 min to upscale one min of video not worth it. My computer is 10 years old I have dones some upgrades I am running 24gb ddr3 ram and a RX6600 still not good enough for video upscaling.

Here are the min specs I recommend to be able to upscale video at a decent speed

I7 9th gen or I5 10th gen
24gb ddr4 ram
2080 super 2080 TI or RX 6750 XT RX 6800
50gb to 100gb space free

With Topaz 3 I've recently discovered that I prefer getting 720p 60fps upscales than 1080p source FPS upscales. Obviously you can still do a 1080p 60fps upscale but staying at 720p 60fps for older files means you get less of the upscale cartoonish and the results are extremely smooth.

60 min to do 1 min is really slow, 2 seconds per frame, like something is not set right in process selection or your cpu is to old. When I had a gtx1060 it could do 720 to 1080 1 min in about 10min and that is half as powerful as a RX6600. Topaz does not need a lot of RAM but it does need a cpu new enough to have AVX2 encoder.

People on Reddit are reporting that Topaz process videos like 30% to 40% faster with Nvidia video cards over AMD video cards. Another thing to know with Topaz like 65% of the processing is coming from your CPU So a I7 13th gen or I9 12th or 13th gen cpu would be the way to got, Topaz is still not even using much of your cpu and video card it is only using them like 50% to 60% if they increased usage of these your process time would drop 30% to 50%.

I Just got a HP Victus 15L with Ryzen 7 5700g 32gb 3200mhz RX 6600 XT 512gb M.2 and 500w power supply. I tested Topaz with my cpu 3.8ghz to process a 3 1/2 min video would take 3 1/2 hr then I overclocked the cpu to 4.6ghz max overclock recommended for this cpu and processing time for the same video was cut down like 50% to 60%. Overclocking my cpu should me the faster the cpu the faster the processing time so you would need to get a top 20 cpu currently.

Reddit post i found has the rx 6600 xt doing 0.16 to 0.32 spf thats less than 1 hr doing a 600% resolution 25 min to 200% of a 3 min video
My rxt 3060 is the same performance and your CPU is better than mine.
Make sure you are using the rx 6600 xt set as the ai processor in the preference tab and set memory usage to high

Topaz Video AI I have tested version 3.2.9 and 3.3.2 both seem to crash some on my computer. So is version 2.6.4 still better than any of version 3 ?? I am testing out 2.6.4 I have noticed processing speed is like 40% to 60% slower.

I don’t have a M3 but it’s pretty bad on both M1 and M2 chips. Would definitely go pc with good video card if upscaling is something you want to do.

This was a great link.

This is more of a hobby, less like my professional likelihood depends on it. There are some (ahem) videos I have sitting on hard drives in my office that I’d like to upscale from SD > 1080p (based upon comments here and other sites when upscaling lower quality videos).

I also have a friend willing to purchase the Topaz suite for me as one of the items in the collection is a near entirety of all the original Dare Dorm videos before they predominantly switched to professional performers (and a lot of those OG videos are harder to find on the web).

I opted for the M3 Pro with 36GB of RAM. I should have it in my hands early next week.
